For the 13th consecutive year, Aspen will be host to the X Games at Buttermilk Mountain from Thursday Jan 23 through Sun Jan 26. As part of the X Games this year, ESPN and X Games Music Presents will return to downtown Aspen’s Wagner Park on Saturday Jan. 25 and Sunday 26 with four globally recognized musical acts.

International dance music superstar Tiësto anchors the event on Sunday, which also includes a set by Axwell, while Phoenix, and Matt & Kim take center stage on Saturday. Tickets start at $30 and are available for purchase, along with a full schedule at: http://bellyupaspen.com/xgames

Load in for the concert will begin at 9:00am on Monday Jan 20th with the delivery of trailers and other equipment. A perimeter fence installation will also begin that morning. Load out will begin immediately following the concert Sunday night, and will conclude by 4:00p on Tuesday Jan 28. We will make all attempts to keep noise and inconvenience to a minimum.

Road Closures

As part of the concert planning, we will be closing E. Durant between S. Monarch Street and S. Galena St, and Monarch between Durant and Hyman, from 2:30p to 8:00p on both show days. In addition, we will be closing the Northbound lane of Monarch between Durant and Hyman from 8:00a Jan 20 through 4:00p Tues Jan 28 in order to provide some safety for our crew and offer some buffer between moving vehicles and our fence line. Parking spots on Monarch by Hyman will be unavailable starting at 9:00a on Monday Jan 20 and will remain unavailable through 4:00p Tuesday Jan 28.

The X Games Concerts is located on property owned by the City of Aspen, and required a Special Events permit. ESPN appeared before the Special Events Committee and the City of Aspen to secure the necessary permits required. If you have any concerns regarding the venue, please contact Jennifer Rieber, Senior Manager ESPN X Games Event Production at 860-766-8766, and we will be happy to address your questions.

The music series is an integral part of the X Games brand, and we look forward to bringing some of the X Games energy to downtown Aspen. We hope that this will be the first of many X Games Music concerts, and look forwards to your feedback and participation to help make this a successful partnership
