Public Safety Council is a project  of the Pitkin County Public Safety Council (PCPSC). The PCPSC is comprised of emergency response organizations throughout Pitkin County.


The mission of the Pitkin County Public Safety Council is to identify problems and facilitate solutions in matters concerning public safety in our communities during preparedness, response, and recovery activities. Through open communication, collaboration, and coordinated planning, incident and event review, training, and exercising in an all-hazards environment.


In pursuit of our mission we value teamwork, cooperation, mutual respect, common trust, honest communication, experience, expertise, historical knowledge, and broad representation and public access and input.
